About us

Hi, my name is Lesley and I am a 200hr qualified yoga teacher registered with the yoga alliance professionals. After practicing yoga for over 15 years I was approached by one of my favourite teachers and invited to join her teacher training course. I initially decided to accept her offer as I wanted to explore the practice further and gain some more knowledge and understanding of how the benefits of regular yoga practice enhanced my own health & wellbeing. Much like myself, many people consider yoga to be about the postures, thinking they need to be flexible or have to be able to touch their toes and even though the postures (asnas) are part of your yoga journey, they are in fact secondary to mastering your practice. The most important part of yoga is in fact mastering your breath and the rest will follow.  When your practice is performed with a mindful breath (Pranayama)  it becomes a moving meditation, closing over your mind, distancing yourself from the chatter and developing a sense of inner peace and appreciation for what you and your body can achieve.Over the years I have discovered many different types of yoga and I would encourage you to try them all until you find a practice that benefits and suits you at this moment in time. You may find this aligns with the seasons, your current lifestyle or where you feel your mind and body is at this particular time. My personal favourites are Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin and Original Hot.My classes are designed to be inclusive for all, suitable for absolute beginners right through to more advanced students. I will offer options to make the practice accessible for most levels of abilities and anatomy, depending on where you are in your own yoga journey you can go as far as you wish as you build on your own practice. You may also take the opportunity to rest if required, always listen to your own body and what’s working for you.Currently, I teach Vinyasa creating energising and restorative sequences that align with the seasons focusing on the meridians (energy channels) that support most of the major organs in our bodies, In the new year (2023) I also intend to incorporate a restorative Yin yoga into my schedule. This practice embodies the qualities of Yin yoga where you will slow down , be still and allow your body to reduce muscle and connective tissue tension.More information about both of the practices, pricing and class sechedule etc. can be found at the top of the page by clicking on "class information " and selecting the drop down tab.I also offer 1:1 sessions that may be more suitable to your needs and again i would invite you to read the information under the "1:1 session" tab and folowing on from that  you may decide what the most suitable option may be for you at this time.I very much look forward to welcoming you along to any of my classes, please note my contact details are below should you require any further information.Nameste.

Hi my name is Laura, and i've been a qualified level 2 Pilates teacher since 2009, pilates is my passion and I'm so lucky to be able to do it as a job. I was a fitness and qualified dance instructor for many years at an intense vigorous level  which resulted in developing a lower back weakness, so I decided to help this condition by getting into Pilates and yoga which help enormously and prevented further damage and this is what inspired me to obtain my qualification and help others to maintain their heatlth & wellbeing. My classes are suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced using variety of options where you can select a level that best suits your own abilty.
