Lesley

Hello and welcome, i'm the founder of Above and Beyond Yoga, right in the heart of Paisley. I’m so proud to have created a warm, welcoming studio where people can experience the many benefits of Yoga and Pilates, no matter their age, stage of life, or level of experience.

I’ve been teaching for many years and specialise in a wide range of practices, including Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yin Yoga, Pre and Postnatal Yoga and pilates, Chair Yoga, and Classical Pilates. I also work partnership with the NHS to deliver the Yoga4Health programme. My teaching approach is rooted in the belief that yoga and Pilates should be accessible to everyone. Every body is different, and I love helping people find what works best for them—whether that’s building strength, improving balance, enhancing flexibility, or finding stillness and relaxation.

At Above and Beyond Yoga, we make sure your practice is fully supported. Our team of experienced and knowledgeable teachers use props, offer adaptations, and provide tailored guidance so you can enjoy a safe, beneficial, and rewarding experience. Whether you’re stepping into your very first class or looking to deepen your existing practice, you’ll always feel welcome and supported here.

But Above and Beyond Yoga isn’t just about yoga and Pilates—it’s about community. I’m incredibly proud that our studio has become a place where people connect, share, and support one another both on and off the mat. It’s more than a class—it’s a space to breathe, grow, and belong.

I’d love for you to join us and experience the difference for yourself. Whether you’re drawn to the flow of Vinyasa, the deep release of Restorative Yin, the support of Pre and Postnatal Yoga, the accessibility of Chair Yoga, or the precision of Classical Pilates, there’s a class here for you.

Milly’s Contemporary Pilates sessions are a fantastic place to start. Combining Joseph Pilates’ core principles with a modern twist, her classes are designed to help you build strength, improve posture, and increase flexibility – all in a welcoming studio environment.

Milly’s classes are suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some Pilates experience. Her teaching style is clear, encouraging, and accessible, making sure everyone feels comfortable and confident. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or looking to refresh your practice, you’ll find her sessions both inclusive and empowering.

You’ll often find Ally guiding our Restorative Yin class on Sundays. Ally brings a wealth of experience in teaching yoga and has a gentle, grounding approach that helps students truly slow down, release tension, and reconnect with themselves.

While Sunday yin is her regular space, Ally also supports and covers some of our other yoga classes, sharing her depth of knowledge and love of yoga with the whole community.

Come along to one of her classes and experience her calming presence for yourself

Dan is a yoga, meditation, and music facilitator with a deep passion for the ways that sound, body, and mind practices can help us connect more deeply with life. With over a decade of practice and 500+ hours of formal training, his approach weaves together the physical, philosophical, and musical roots of yoga.

Training in trauma-informed modalities – including yoga therapy and mindfulness for addiction recovery, as well as meditation and peer-support facilitation for mental health– have given him tools to navigate the polarities of neurodivergence, bringing mental/emotional clarity that is grounded embodied presence.
